Introduction to the Cooler Master Centurion 5 II Black and Red Edition
There comes a time when you want more; more speed, more power, more storage capacity. However, it can put a real dent in the wallet in order to achieve even one of those, let alone all or any combination of them. Then when it comes time to house the "more" you've sought, well it can be a daunting task. There are just too many choices out there when it comes to PC towers, and we sure have reviewed our fair share of them over the years. Some bring little to no excitement, and yet, others have us not able to wait to get the box open.
When our friend Joe over at Cooler Master told us about a special edition case, one that was not going to be sold here in the United States, we leapt at the opportunity when offered to review one. The new case is based on one of our favorite budget cases from Cooler Master, the Centurion 5 II. The new revision Centurion offers the right amount of styling, durability and room for anyone looking for a good case.
So what is so special about this new Centurion case? To start with, the inside is not only black but red as well. Yep, this new Centurion sports a very bad-ass matte combo of black paint and red accented interior theme, which has been the basis of many a build and mods. Why isn't Cooler Master going to offer this case in the U.S.? We actually have no idea, but will have a ball reviewing it! (Which one never knows... if you show enough interest, we can forward CM the page-view count and maybe we'll see it released here after all!)
Cooler Master’s take on the Centurion 5 II
The all new Centurion 5 II has been vastly improved from the inside. This mid-tower chassis is designed with increased drive bay capacity, more airflow thanks to the enhanced ventilation and fan options and easy-to-install features. This is a multi-purpose chassis that you cannot go wrong with.
