The NZXT Phantom 630 is truly a complete case. It offers everything anyone needs when building that ultimate gaming rig. The styling is pretty universal as it does not scream out ‘I am a gamer’. The case can easily be placed in a multitude of place and look very comfortable sitting there. Even when it comes to color options NZXT has your back with the Phantom 630 as it comes in black, gun metal and white. I am pretty positive you will see other ‘special edition’ colors in the future.
What can’t be ignored about this case are all the features it offers. Honestly, we can go on for hours naming them off. One of the biggest ones would be the amount of different water-cooling configuration you can have. A radiator as long as 360mm can be placed in the top while a 240mm can he settle in the front, a 280mm in the bottom and a 140mm in the rear. And you can still keep much of your drive locations with the modular HDD cages and dual 2.5” bays behind the motherboard tray.
The rest of the features would include but not limited too great cable management possibilities, long GPU support, a ten fan single channel controller, large amount of drive support, SD/SDHC card reader, tool-less assembly and the list just goes on and on. Yes, NZXT did go all out on this case and I am really glad they sent it over for us to review.
In the next case we would like to see thumbscrews for the expansion slots. They are a must and the Phantom 630 does not have them.
We could not find the NZXT Phantom for sale anywhere but we are told to look to pay about $180 for it when available.
Note: NZXT has informed us that all the Phantom 630 made as of this week will ship with thumbscrews for the expansion slots. Nice to see the big guys pay attention to the people. Nice going, NZXT.
