Introduction to the SilenX Effizio EFZ-120HA5 Performance CPU Cooler
Today, we will be taking a look at a new cooler from a company we have yet to do a review for. The company is not new and has been around for some time, we just haven’t been lucky enough to evaluate one of their products until now. SilenX is a leader in silent computing. Their fans have been used by many determined to keep their system at a very low noise level.
SilenX also dibble in heat sinks as well. The current have about ten of them within their Effizio line. Each of the ten is different from one another. There is fan size, structure type or weight distinctions between each. We really suggest taking a look at their site just to see how different each one is.
We will be taking a closer look at the EFZ-120HA5 which is aimed at what SilenX is known for. Quiet operation. It also has two other characteristics that is a must have for many of us and that is great performance and an affordable price tag. The 120HA5 is of the tower design and weighs in at 648 grams. And according to SilenX, it only takes ten minutes to install. So, we are guessing it is a pretty simple process. We will see.

The ideal cooler for, well, just about anybody, the EFZ-120HA5 is the perfect complement to any system. The EFZ-120HA5 utilizes three 6mm heat pipes that directly contact the CPU and are intertwined to provide six effective heat pipes worth of thermal dissipation. A universal mounting bracket supports the widest range of current AMD and Intel sockets, including the latest multi-core Phenom and i3/i5/i7 processors.
We've included an Effizio 120mm fan with 3rd generation fluid dynamic bearings for years of reliable performance and no need to purchase any additional fans, though you have the option of adding a second fan for more performance. The installation process is easy with a typical install time of under 10 minutes, and does not require any specialized tools, just a simple screwdriver is all that's needed. Each Effizio heat sink comes with a three year warranty from the date of purchase and as always, you can be sure of getting the service should you need it.
