Introduction to the Gigabyte Aivia K8100 Gaming Keyboard

A good keyboard should ultimately be one of the top two priorities of a gamer, right up there next to grabbing a quality gaming mouse (no pun intended). Each of which is the only universal way to communicate with your favorite video game. Comfort, response and looks all play a part in selecting the best input device for you. You can research the web all day and talk to gaming friends till the sun comes up about what keyboard to buy, but if it isn’t comfortable to you its crap.

Our friends at Gigabyte have come out with a new keyboard, one that is aimed to please all who call themselves gamers. The Aivia K8100 is a feature-rich keyboard boasting everything a true gamer wants. Features that include a GHOST Macro Engine to store key assignments, simultaneous 20 key anti-ghosting capability, on/off switch for they key's LED backlighting, unique touch-and-slide volume control and a braided cotton USB cable for increased durability. In terms of color options, the K8100 comes in three different flavors: red, black and yellow. So now not only can you get your motherboard and power supply to match the color of your case, but the keyboard as well.

Gigabyte's take on the Aivia K8100

GIGABYTE designs world’s 1st gaming keystroke keyboard with three different built-in keystroke forces, 70 grams, 60 grams and 50 grams. Professional gamers are able to intuitionally make accurate commands with these different keystroke forces. Taking into account of mainstream gaming control buttons such as WASD, Ctrl, Space and arrow keys, these most commonly used gaming keys are assigned 70g weight for elastic force. The other keys commonly pressed by the little finger such as Tab, Caps-Lock and Shift buttons are assigned 50 grams to reduce pressure on the finger.
